National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences formally known as NIMHANS, Bengaluru has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Senior Research Fellow. This will be a contract base vacancy. This is an ICMR Funded project entitled Evaluation of LRRK2 11371 mutation on cellular pathogenesis of Parkinson\u2019s disease using patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells of Indian ethnicity. This post will be under the direct guidance of Associate Professor and Principal Investigator Dr. Indrani Datta (Department of Biophysics), NIMHANS. Further details are given below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. of Post:<\/strong> 1 (One)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Educational Qualification:<\/strong> M.Sc. degree in the field of regenerative medicine \/biophysics\/ physiology\/ biochemistry with a good academic record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essential Work Experience:<\/strong>  2 years of hands-on research experience after a Master’s degree is mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desirable Experience<\/strong>: In cell culture, molecular biology and biochemistry will be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nature of Work:<\/strong> The project covers extensively in vitro Parkinson\u2019s disease model using patient-specific iPSCs, live-cell imaging electrophysiology (MEA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maximum age limit:<\/strong> 28 Years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emoluments:<\/strong> Rs. 35,000\/- + 24% HRA (Per Month)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration of the Project<\/strong>: 2 years (Initial appointment will be made for a period of six months and will be extended further depending upon the performance of the candidate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
