What is NCAHP Registration | How to Register – Know everything!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Government officially introduced the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP)<\/strong> Act on March 28, 2021, after receiving approval from the President of India. This act serves as a unified regulatory system to ensure quality education and services for Allied and Healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP)<\/strong> registration is an essential step for allied healthcare professionals in India, including Community Care and Mental\/Behavioural Health Professionals, to gain official recognition under the NCAHP Act. This act aims to standardize education, skills, and professional services in various healthcare sectors, ensuring a high level of quality and competency across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Categories under the NCAHP Act<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Key Features of NCAHP Registration for Behavioural Health Sciences Professionals:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Centralized and State Registries<\/strong>:
    Registration allows professionals to be listed in national and state-level registries. This ensures visibility and credibility, helping professionals prove their qualifications and skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Regulation and Standardization<\/strong>:
    The NCAHP Act ensures uniform educational standards, training, and accreditation across allied healthcare fields. For mental health professionals, this promotes consistent service delivery by a professional.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Eligibility Criteria<\/strong>:
    To register, professionals must have completed an accredited or required degree\/diploma. These may include psychologists (except RCI Recognized Clinical Psychologists), counsellors, and other mental health specialists.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Note:<\/strong> Registration under NCAHP, does not provide recognition as a Clinical Psychologist because RCI is the responsible body for providing registration or licence as a Clinical Psychologist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Important:<\/strong> There is no age bar and no last date to register under NCAHP as a professional. Hence, apply only once you complete the desired educational qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
