New RCI-Approved M.Phil Clinical Psychology Institutes

The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has added new names to its list of institutions approved for M.Phil Clinical Psychology. Now more opportunities for psychology aspirants to pursue this course.

RCI updated the list on July 27, 2023.

They offer licenses to clinical psychologists and associate clinical psychologists in the field of psychology. Candidates must complete either PsyD in Clinical Psychology, M.Phil in Clinical Psychology, or a Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology from an approved institution.

Amity University, Mohali

The Amity University Mohali is one of the new RCI-approved institutes. It is a private university located in Mohali, Punjab, in 2018. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in a variety of disciplines, including engineering, business, law, medicine, and science. It is now an RCI-recognized institute to provide M.Phil in Clinical Psychology.

Amity University, Raipur

This institute is situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It was established under Chhattisgarh Act No. 13 of 2014. And, the institute holds recognition under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.

Mizoram University

An act of the Indian Parliament established Mizoram University in 2000, and it commenced operations in 2001. Situated in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, the university achieved an ‘A’ grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2014 and 2019. Additionally, it obtained ISO certification in 2018. Mizoram University has consistently secured a position among the top 100 universities in India according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) from 2016 to 2023.

The Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust established Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF), a private deemed-to-be-university located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India, in 1981.
