The Advance Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling (ADCGC) offered by SPNIWCD, Delhi, is a one-year full-time regular program that includes:

- MA in Child Development / Psychology / Social Work / Nursing / Community Resource Management / Development Communication Extension / Special Education from a recognized university, or
- MEd from a UGC-recognized university, or
- BA or BSc in Psychology / Child Development / Social Work / Special Education / Community Resource Management / Development Communication Extension / Nursing from a recognised University with at least 5 years of experience working with children, or
- BEd from a UGC recognized university with a minimum of 4 years of experience in working with children, or
- The candidate must have studied English (major/elective/functional) at the 10+2 level or higher.

Method of Selection for the ADCGC Program
GGSIPU administers the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to the ADCGC program at SPNIWCD, Delhi.
- Based on candidates’ entrance examination performance, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) assigns candidates a CET rank and publishes the merit list on its official website.
- GGSIPU then announces the counselling schedule and invites candidates rank-wise for admission counselling.
- The selected candidates have to go through document verification and pay the fee during the process.
- If seats remain vacant after the first round, GGSIPU may hold a second round of counselling.
Entrance Exam Pattern for ADCGC Program
- 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) (pen-and-paper examination where candidates have to mark the answers on an OMR sheet)
- Each correct answer carries 4 marks
- For every Incorrect answer, 1 mark (negative marking) will be deducted
- The medium of the entrance examination is English
- Syllabus of the Entrance Test:
- General awareness,
- Social awareness, and
- General English (including linguistic expression).

- Register and Create an Account: New users must create an account by providing basic details and verifying their email address.
- Fill the Application Form: Complete the online form carefully, including academic details, personal information, and program selection (ADCGC – Program Code 175).
- Upload Documents: Applicants must upload scanned copies of their academic transcripts, photograph, and signature as per the specified format.
- Pay the Application Fee: Proceed to the payment gateway through the online portal to pay the application fee to complete the submission process. The portal accepts application fee payments only online. Keep the payment receipt for future reference.
