Department of Clinical & Rehabilitation Psychology and Research, National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun, has started inviting applications for its PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology for the session of 2025-26. About the Course
NIEPVD started the PGDRP in 2016 as a 1-year full-time regular program, designed and conducted by the institute and recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). It includes:
- 12 Months of Coursework and Fieldwork (OPD, Case Work, Reports, etc.)
- Affiliated University: Shri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University
- Number of Seats: 15

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology:
- You must have either:
- A BA/BSc in Psychology, with Psychology as a main subject in all three years, or
- A MA/MSc in Psychology from a recognized university
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General Category: 55%
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD: 50%
Note: If you’ve studied only one or two Psychology papers (like Educational Psychology in B.Ed.), you are not eligible for this course.
Exam Pattern
- The Exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions.
- The syllabus includes the UG-PG Level Psychology.
- The total time duration will be 2 hours.
- Selection Basis: Merit + Reservation
- The Entrance Exam will take place at NIEPVD Campus, Dehradun

Document Submission Guidelines
- Submit original + self-attested photocopy at the time of admission
- Incomplete or unclear certificates will be rejected
- OBC Certificate:
- Must be issued within the last 3 years from the date of admission
- Older or expired certificates will not be accepted
- EWS Certificate:
- Must be issued within the current financial year
- For 2025–26: Issued between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026
- SC/ST/PwD Certificates:
- Must be issued by a competent authority recognized by the Central/State Government
- Must mention the category and be valid and region-specific
- Employed candidates: Must submit Study Leave Certificate + NOC
- All candidates: Must provide an Affidavit confirming full-time availability during the course
Fee Structure

- Caution Money: 20,000 (Refundable, after the course and No Prior Dues)
- The Original Fee will not be refunded under any circumstances
