RRU Postgraduate Psychology Admissions 2026

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) has officially opened applications for its postgraduate psychology programmes for the academic year of 2026. It offers a wide range of psychology programmes across its campuses in India.

RRU is a central university and an institute of national importance based in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. RRU focuses on programmes in national security, internal security, and strategic studies, adopting an interdisciplinary approach that integrates behavioural sciences, law, and public policy.

Admission to the postgraduate psychology programmes at RRU’s campuses will be based on merit in the qualifying undergraduate degree.

• Candidates are ranked according to the percentage of marks obtained in their relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Applicants with higher aggregate marks will be shortlisted.
• Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for counselling and admission as per the university’s schedule.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have the following eligibility criteria to get admission into RRU PG Psychology programmes:

For MSc Forensic Psychology

• Bachelor’s degree in any Science discipline from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. For female, SC, ST, and PH candidates, the minimum required marks will be 45%, 40% for Kashmiri migrants.

For MSc Clinical Psychology

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. For female, SC, ST, and PH candidates, the minimum required marks will be 45%, 40% for Kashmiri migrants.

Application Process

Candidates seeking admission to RRU PG Psychology programmes must apply through the official online admission portal.

• Visit the official admission portal (link provided in the “Programmes Offered” section).
• Register and Create an Account: New users must create an account by providing basic details and verifying their email address.
• Fill the Application Form: Complete the online form carefully, including academic details, personal information, and program preference.
• Upload Documents: Applicants must upload scanned copies of their academic transcripts, photograph, and signature as per the specified format.
• Pay the Application Fee: Proceed to the payment gateway through the online portal to pay the application fee of Rs.1500 (for both programmes) to complete the submission process.
• After submitting the application successfully, candidates should download or save a copy of the completed application form for future reference.

Documents Required

Applicants must keep scanned copies of the following documents ready before starting the application process:

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Signature
• Mark sheets & Degree certificates of qualifying examinations
• Leaving Certificate (LC)
• Aadhaar card or a valid government-issued ID
• Caste certificate & Income certificate (if applicable)

NOTE: Candidates must upload all documents in the format and size specified on the admission portal. Incomplete or incorrect uploads may lead to rejection of the application.
