Who Can Apply?
- Psychology graduates and students in the final year of a UGC-recognized Master’s degree in Psychology can apply.
- The minimum qualifying marks required are:
- 55% for General and General-EWS candidates.
- 50% for SEBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender candidates.
- Candidates awaiting their final postgraduate results may also apply provisionally, provided they fulfil the required eligibility conditions within the prescribed period.
- PhD Relaxation: Candidates who completed their Master’s degree by 19 September 1991 and hold a PhD degree are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks (from 55% to 50%) as per GSET eligibility rules.
- There is no upper age limit for appearing in GSET.
GSET 2026 Examination Pattern
- The examination will be conducted in offline mode (OMR-based) and will consist of two compulsory papers.
