About TISS

In 1936, the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work established the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). In 1944, it was renamed the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. About Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a prestigious national-level exam that assesses candidates for a comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, and Humanities.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is organizing GATE 2024.

GATE Exam Pattern

The GATE Exam is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). This exam has 2 sections that are General Aptitude and Selected subject (like Psychology). General Aptitude carries 15 marks and the second section contains a total of 85 marks. Two types of questions are provided in the GATE Exam which are Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Multiple-Selected Questions (MSQs). There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong question in the GATE Exam. The medium of this exam is English. The duration of writing this exam is 3 hours.


CUET PG is a crucial nationwide entrance exam in India, facilitating applications to diverse postgraduate programs at universities. The CUET-PG is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) that is conducted at various centers across India. CUET Entrance Exam’s questions are in the form of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). The duration of attending this exam is 120 Minutes (2 hours). This Entrance test is having two shifts. The timing of shift-1 is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift-2 is from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM. In addition, the total number of questions is 100 where 25 questions are general and 75 questions are Psychology questions. The total achievable marks by the candidates in this exam is 400. CUET includes a negative marking of 1 mark every wrong answer.

About Christ University

About Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI)

In 1962, the University Grants Commission declared the Jamia a ‘deemed to be University’. Soon thereafter, the School of Social Work came into existence in 1967. In 1971, Jamia started the Zakir Husain Institute of Islamic Studies, to honour Dr. Zakir Husain, who had passed away in 1969. By a Special Act of the Parliament, Jamia Millia Islamia became a central university of India in December 1988.
